MEMO FROM THE PRESIDENT – SUBJECT – VALID NPC MEMBERSHIP:

If you have an NPC only event then anyone who steps backstage at your show must have a valid current NPC membership. This includes show staff, coaches (who bought trainer passes), and current IFBB Pros.
If you have an IFBB Pro event in conjunction with your NPC event then IFBB Pros don’t need an NPC membership to be backstage, they will only need to buy trainer passes.
There can be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule! Thank you.

MEMO FROM THE PRESIDENT – SUBJECT – TEENAGE COMPETITORS:

On the advice of our attorney, effective immediately, no one under the age of 18 may compete in the teenage division at your events.
If a promoter has any entries for a teenage athlete, under the age of 18, you must refund their entry fee and have them contact the NPC National office if they have purchased an NPC card to receive a refund.

MEMO FROM THE PRESIDENT:

A coach must have a current NPC membership to be permitted to buy a coach’s pass. If they are an IFBB Pro they must have a current IFBB Pro membership to buy a coach’s pass. This rule must be strictly enforced for insurance purposes.
We have been informed that this rule has not been enforced at many contests.

MEMO FROM THE PRESIDENT:

It has come to my attention that gymnastics moves are being performed during the posing round of Men’s Classic Physique. Recently in that division an injury occurred when a backflip was performed.
Promoter’s are not permitted to allow gymnastics moves in any division except Women’s Fitness.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR NATIONAL EVENTS:

Effective Jan. 1, 2018, qualifications for all national events (NPC Jr. USA, Jr. Nationals, USA, Nationals, Universe & IFBB North American) will be placing in the top 2 of the weight/height class in the Open Division. Qualifications are good for the year obtained plus 1 year.

CROSSOVERS: Effective Jan. 1, 2015, athletes may enter unlimited contests subject to their being qualified. Promoters must indicate on their entry form if CROSSOVERS will be allowed.
INDIVIDUAL POSING ROUTINE: Every Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, & Women’s Physique competitor in Florida NPC Contests will perform his or her Individual Posing Routine by themselves either during prejudging or at the evening show. The decision will be made by the Chairman.
MUSIC: Competitor’s music must be on a CD and can not contain any profanity. Use of profanity is an automatic disqualification.

SUITS WORN AT CHECK-INS

Effective immediately, and to keep in line with NPC National competition rules, all competitors will be required to wear their stage posing suits (suit bottoms for females) to competition check ins. Please wear the suits under your sweats. The suit will be checked to make sure it adheres to the rules posted on npcnewsonline.com for each division.
Each competitor is asked to bring a back up suit (always a good practice), in case their suit does not meet standards.

A FEW RULES TO REMEMBER

All divisions: no T-Backs or Thongs are permitted.
Classic Physique: Suit style must be black no shorter than 4 ½” on the side cut.
Men’s Bodybuilding: Plain in color, no fringe, no sparkling or fluorescents.
